Time to Play

Winter 2012 Highlights: The Sony Centre celebrates classical Chinese dance and music with Shen Yun and welcomes the extraordinary Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.  The St. Lawrence Theatre for the Performing Arts presents a Canadian Stage Company production of Cruel and Tender, directed by Academy Award-nominated Atom Egoyan and Soulpepper features the 2011 Fringe Festival smash hit Kim's Convenience.

Old Town Toronto has a magnificent playful side where arts of every kind are celebrated and enjoyed.  Live theatre, dance and music occur nightly at The Sony Centre for the Performing Arts, The St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts, the Young People's Theatre, the Canadian Stage Company and the Soulpepper Theatre. Lovers of the visual arts frequent the fine art galleries in the Distillery District.  If movies are your thing, there is the Rainbow Theatre where first run movies play daily.

And for those who wish to celebrate their inner Gretzky or Crosby, there is the world famous Hockey Hall of Fame where you can make your own history by getting up close and personal with the Stanley Cup.
