The Cathedral Church of
St. James

The present St. James Cathedral was opened in 1853.
The tower (1865) and the spire (1874) rise 305 feet above the street and
house a peal of 12 change ringing bells, the only such ring of 12 in North
America. Today, St. James is the cathedral for the Anglican Diocese of
Toronto. |

Flatiron (Gooderham) Building

This historical building was completed in 1892. The
wedge-shaped steel framed building (resembling an old-fashioned iron) is
one of the most photographed buildings in Toronto. |
